A fund managed by Corpfin has acquired a 51% stake and therefore control of the Eurogamma group, whose main subsidiary is the Spanish company Secna, specialised in the production of natural colourants for the food industry, with a plant in Chiva.
The transaction, the amount of which has not been disclosed, has been carried out together with shareholders of the company who lead its management team, and who, as a result of the transaction, have increased their stake.
Eurogamma, which together with the Valencian Secna has other operating subsidiaries and production plants in Italy and Turkey, manufactures natural colourants for the food and beverage industry, and is specialised in producing red and dark tones from raw materials such as red grapes, black carrots and caramel.
In 2014, the group achieved consolidated sales of more than €50 million and, according to a statement released today, the objective of Corpfin Capital and the current management team of the group is to drive the company’s growth in the coming years by strengthening the commercial team and increasing the global presence of its products.
To this end, Secna has just inaugurated a new production plant in the Valencian town of Chiva, in which it has invested more than €20 million, and which will allow it to double its production capacity, improve its efficiency and develop new products.
