The Elastorsa Group, one of the leading European specialists in the development and production of rubber compounds, supports social initiatives through its Corporate Social Responsibility, and one of them is the Fundación Deporte Sin Barreras.

The Fundación Deporte Sin Barreras is an entity that promotes sport as a tool for the integration of people with disabilities and provides scholarships for adapted sports.

With the support of the Elastorsa Group, the Foundation carried out awareness actions at the International Wheelchair Tennis Open in Logroño, in which hundreds of young people from La Rioja participated.

And during this weekend, on the occasion of the XV Spanish Wheelchair Tennis Championship in Calahorra, the Foundation will launch different actions to bring this sport closer to the general public.

A photographic exhibition of wheelchair tennis featuring the best players in the world, which will take place at La Comedia café in Calahorra.

A training clinic so that people with and without disabilities can practice tennis from a wheelchair alongside the best players in Spain, to which local associations from the area have been invited, including, of course, the associations from Arnedo.

An official cocktail reception for the three Paralympic players who will be participating in this event, which will take place on Saturday at 22:15 at La Comedia café in Calahorra.

The Fundación Deporte Sin Barreras is a national entity that does not request public subsidies and bases all its activities on volunteering and on the social awareness of companies and private entities such as the Arnedo-based company Grupo Elastorsa, which through private sponsorships and micro-sponsorships help make these awareness, education and training activities possible.

Also, with a group of people who, with their small solidarity contributions every day, allow this entity to grow based on transparency and good practices.

One of its most active Honorary Patrons is the Riojan tennis player Juanjo Rodríguez, who sums it up with the following statements: “We are a volunteer-based entity that avoids creating structures supported by public subsidies”; “Grupo Elastorsa is one of those companies that supports us without expecting anything in return, and that is real solidarity, that is social responsibility. Solidarity tandems that make things happen.”
