Capital increase together with Corpfin Capital to finance its expansion plan in holiday resorts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marjal<\/a> <\/strong>and its partners from Corpfin Capital <\/strong><\/a>have decided to inject \u20ac4.6 million<\/strong> into the capital of the group\u2019s tourism division\u2014Servicios Tur\u00edsticos Marjal S. L<\/strong>.\u2014to finance the expansion that the company<\/strong> has begun this very summer with the acquisition of the Els Prats Village campsite<\/strong>, in the Tarragona town of Mont-roig del Camp. The transaction was recorded yesterday in the Official Gazette of the Commercial Registry and was confirmed to this newspaper by the group\u2019s chairman, Francisco G\u00f3mez. As a result, the company\u2019s total capital is now close to \u20ac21 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was in mid-last year when the founding families of Marjal\u2014the G\u00f3mez and the Fur\u2014sold half of the group\u2019s tourism division to the Spanish fund with the aim of launching an expansion plan<\/strong> to build what they expect to become one of the largest holiday resort chains <\/strong>on the Mediterranean coast, based on the two campsites they already operated in Guardamar and Crevillent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since then, the company\u2019s executives have been analysing various options until, finally, last August, the first acquisition was completed with the purchase of the Mont-roig facilities. A transaction that the partners have chosen to finance through the aforementioned capital increase, according to G\u00f3mez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Els Prats Village camping resort adds 451 pitches to Marjal Resorts, of which 75 are accommodation units (apartments and bungalows), on a surface area of 85,000 square metres on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. According to initial estimates, the incorporation of the site will increase the company\u2019s current revenue<\/strong> by up to 50%. In the medium term, the firm aims to double its current number of establishments through new acquisitions along the Mediterranean coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
