Venture Capital was the leading segment by number of investments, with 297 deals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fundraising by domestic private investors reached \u20ac990M, representing a 36.4% increase compared to the same period in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the first six months of the year, investment volume declined, although the remaining indicators continued to perform at a solid pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now more than ever, Private Capital is essential to the economy due to its role in driving startups and SMEs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seg\u00fan las primeras estimaciones obtenidas por la Asociaci\u00f3n de Capital, Crecimiento e Inversi\u00f3n (ASCRI) a trav\u00e9s de la plataforma europea EDC, el volumen de inversi\u00f3n en Espa\u00f1a alcanz\u00f3 en la primera mitad del a\u00f1o 1.434M\u20ac en un total de 344 inversiones. Si bien el volumen de inversi\u00f3n ha sufrido una ca\u00edda (67% menos que en el mismo periodo de 2019) debido a que no se han cerrado megadeals, el n\u00famero de operaciones se ha mantenido estable respecto a a\u00f1os anteriores a pesar de la situaci\u00f3n actual. El Venture Capital ha sido el dinamizador respecto al n\u00famero de operaciones, con un volumen de 307,2M\u20ac en un total de 297 inversiones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ascri.org\/aquilino-pena-nuevo-presidente-de-ascri\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Aquilino Pe\u00f1a<\/a>, presidente de ASCRI: \u201cActualmente, y aunque la industria de Venture Capital &amp; Private Equity atravesar\u00e1 un periodo de cierta ralentizaci\u00f3n, el capital privado es parte de la soluci\u00f3n y jugar\u00e1 un papel fundamental en los pr\u00f3ximos meses, tanto en el aspecto inversor como en su experiencia en la gesti\u00f3n. Desde ASCRI reclamamos certidumbre y una regulaci\u00f3n estable para que los inversores internacionales contin\u00faen apostando por Espa\u00f1a\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By type of investor, international funds continued to show strong interest in Spain, accounting for \u20ac993.4M invested across 79 deals\u2014a historic record in terms of transaction volume within a semester. Domestic private investors completed 208 investments, while domestic public investors carried out 57 transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By deal size, the middle market (transactions with equity investments between \u20ac10M and \u20ac100M) maintained its momentum, totaling \u20ac612.2M across 23 deals. Of the total number of transactions recorded, 309 involved equity investments below \u20ac5M.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By stage of development, buyouts stood out, with \u20ac375.4M invested across 13 transactions. In the growth segment, 26 deals were completed for a total of \u20ac143M.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sectors receiving the highest investment volumes were Industrial Products and Services (34%), Biotechnology (21%), and Electronics (11%). In terms of number of investments, IT led with 180 deals, followed by Healthcare\/Medicine and Biotechnology\/Genetic Engineering (29), and Industrial Products and Services (20).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fundraising<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fundraising (capital raised by private equity to invest) by domestic private investors reached \u20ac990M, representing a 36.4% increase compared to the same period in 2019. This growth is largely due to fundraising processes initiated in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Divestments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Divestment volume reached an estimated \u20ac656.3M (at cost) across 101 transactions.<br>80% of the volume was divested through \u201ctrade sales,\u201d 7% through \u201cwrite-downs,\u201d and 4% via \u201cloan repayments.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<a class=\"corpfin-post-pdf-button\" href=\"https:\/\/brandipruebas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/202007-16-El-Capital-Privado-mantiene-su-actividad-a-pesar-de-la-caida-del-volumen-de-inversion-\u2013-ASCRI.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n  View article\n<\/a>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El Capital Privado mantiene su actividad a pesar de la ca\u00edda del volumen de inversi\u00f3n.
